Deborah Foundation’s Executive team attended a two-day Annual Summit hosted by Ministry of Education Ethiopia that was held on August 30-31, 2021. The Summit incorporated presentations and reports about the education sector and a participation of multiple key sectors of governmental organizations and NGOs. Special needs education was one of the areas that was discussed by the participants during the summit.
We would like to express our gratitude for H.E. Dr.-Ing. Getahun Mekuria, Minister: Ministry of Education, and his team for designating a dedicated session in order to have an inductive discussion about special needs and inclusive education on September 03, 2021. Our foundation has proposed a document on the areas of improvement in the education sector, and the Ministry has pledged to develop a plan based on the feedbacks that were given by the civil society organizations that work in special needs.
