Every child deserves a life of dignity

The Deborah Foundation stands as a beacon of hope and transformation in Ethiopia, dedicated to fostering a kinder and more inclusive future for children with Down syndrome. Founded in 2019 and named after Deborah, the daughter of founder His Excellency Ato Abadula Gemeda, the foundation has rapidly become a pivotal organization in addressing unique developmental needs.


Guided by its vision, the foundation focuses its efforts on three thematic pillars: healthcare, inclusive education, and policy advocacy. Through these initiatives, the foundation strengthens the essential support systems that families rely on, breaking systemic barriers to ensure every child receives dignity and that no one is left behind.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum ley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.
